Preston Coiner Scholarship

The Coiner family offers this scholarship in honor of Preston Coiner's abiding interest in local history.

The first year award is $4,000 and increases each year based on the scholarship fund balance. There is one designated Preston Coiner Scholar at a time. As a new Preston Coiner Scholarship winner was selected in 2024 and we expect that scholar to renew annually, we will be able to award a new Preston Coiner Scholarship in 2028.

Earl and Marian Olson Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded in memory of the Olsons, who believed in the power of education and the importance of equal opportunity.

Each year, a CSP scholar is selected for the Olson Scholarship, which provides an additional $1,000 a year for up to four years in additional to the annual Charlottesville Promise Scholarship amount.

Scarpa Arts & Design Scholarship

By investing in the education of future leaders in the fields of fashion, theater, architecture, design, and the arts, local business leader, Scarpa, hopes to spark and nurture creativity and innovation in our community.

CSP has one active Scarpa Arts & Design Scholar.

Salazar-Marquez Family Scholarship

John and Pat Lloyd created this scholarship in honor of Pat's parents, Fred Fimbrez Salazar and Margaret Marquez Salazar. Though family circumstances precluded their attending college, they were steadfast in their advocacy for education. Their sacrifices and generosity allowed each of their children to complete post-secondary degrees.
